Public Affairs and Government Relations Advisor, EMEA
The Public Affairs and Government Relations Advisor's role is to support the Sales and Marketing Team with the objective to protect and grow access for our products. Responsibilities consist of monitoring, information, strategic counseling and advocacy activities, including the preparation of internal reports and information documents regarding laws and regulatory issues, as well as the planning, the coordination of related government relations activities for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Team.
1. Responsibilities and duties
· Represent and defend BRP's interests.
Particularly on various industry associations such as ATVEA, ACEM, IMEC.
· Mapping and monitoring regulatory and legislation development.
· Government Relations & Advocacy: Influence the development of legislation and policy affecting our products individually as a company or through industry associations.
· European lobbying activities & assistance to local region.
· Support in the development, coordination and delivery of communication tools for internal and external stakeholders, including distributor networks, allies and governments.
· Coordinate efforts with other teams and divisions such as our Product Compliance Team in Valcourt.
2. Education, Background & Experience
· Bilingual: French and English
· University degree in Public Relations, Politics or Communications.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of relative experience.
· Experience with the European Institutions.
· Ability to appropriately research and process technical and complex public and confidential information.
· Extensive-working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, FileMaker, and related software packages.
