Web Production & Support Analyst

Summary

The role of the e-commerce Web Production & Support Analyst is a new function in PRL Geneva. It is expected that this position will evolve in line with the needs of the business. Therefore, the Analyst will have to demonstrate adaptability and a willingness to be flexible enough to respond quickly to the changing needs of the role. As such, the key functions of the Analyst can be outlined as, but may not be limited to, the following.

The primary function of the Analyst is to work closely with the Creative PMs, Merchandising, Marketing and Digital Ops teams based in the US to support the creative and content site refreshes of the PRL e-commerce website. The Analyst will use the content management system to set up navigation, promotions and site content as applicable.

Task management is key to this role. The Analyst will work closely with the PM during the initial phases of all creative content site refreshes - it will be their responsibility to ensure all parties involved meet strict deadlines and co-ordinate the speedy resolution of any issues as and when they arise. In addition, the Analyst may assist with creative and technical briefs and performing Q&A activities. The candidate should demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills to easily facilitate with all parties involved and provide regular status updates.

Other duties going forward may include StoreMan development and providing support as a content management troubleshooter for business users of the remote tools system. In this capacity, the Analyst should be well versed in troubleshooting tactics and understanding information available to work through simple and complex issues. An understanding of the following web technologies - HTML, DHTML, XML, JSP and Flash – would be an advantage.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

§         Assist Project Manager in all creative changes
§         Coordinate site navigation changes with the merchant team
§         Manage deployment of dynamic site elements including feature tags, style guide content and custom HTML links
§         Draft creative and technical briefs as needed to cover EU specific landing page requirements
§         Perform Q&A on all EU deployed landing pages
§         Troubleshoot and provide support for key users of the daily content management system
§         Make suggestions for improvements to creative approval and hand-off process
§         Make suggestions for improvements to the Remote Tools tool and the business users’ processes in regards to use of the tool
§         Maintain master JDA hierarchy
§         Build HTML StoreMan panels on ralphlauren.uk, ralphlauren.fr and ralphlauren.de when needed
§         Assist in any other ad-hoc projects within Business Support (including but not limited to other key applications such as Infinium, CSM, Island Pacific, ReconNet, Vigilance and .NET)
§         Contribute to the on-going development of the Business Support function

Required Skills / Experience

§         Fast learner with strong troubleshooting skills and ability to take an undefined problem and take the appropriate steps to reach resolution in a timely manner
§         Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a desire to provide a high level of customer service
§         Very methodical and accurate, with strong attention to detail
§         Ability to think creatively in order to propose process and system improvements
§         Flexibility to be open to change and adaptable
§         Ability to manage large amounts of workload, multi-task and work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines
§         Can work independently
§         Fluent in English and at least 1 other European language, preferably French
