Head of Media and Communication Planning - Europe

Job Purpose  

The Head of Integrated Communications for Europe is a critical role as we look to leverage the appropriate communications / marketing mix to drive impactful connections with consumers.   This person will be the critical point of contact, and have the ultimate accountability to transform our organization’s capabilities and executional excellence in the area of Integrated Communications across Europe, moving us from a 90% TV Mix, to less than 75% while still delivering needs of the business.

 

Major Accountabilities 

 

  •      Overall responsibility for developing, supporting, and activating integrated communications planning processes and excellence across Europe.
  •       Will play a key role in building integrated communications planning capabilities across the region.
  •       Partnering with key agencies to lead comms planning workshops in key markets across the region, as required, to deliver consumer-centric, effective activation plans.
  •       Shift region marketing budget out of TV dependency (currently 90% of A&P) into qually effective, higher ROI mediums (digital key focus area)
  •       Partner with global marketing to ensure excellence in TV planning and buy across the region
  •       Monitoring, reporting, and optimization of Marketing Mix across Region EU.
  •       Focus on ROI of programs to measure effectiveness and proposing adaptations as necessary.
  •       Will be a key member of the European Marketing Leadership Team (EMLT) to drive overall marketing engagement across the EU organization.

 

 

Background 

 

Education :

University degree in Marketing or Communications

Experience:           

  •    10+ years experience in integrated communications planning. (Agency experience a BIG plus)
  •    Must have command of integrated communications planning best practices, trends and tools. Proven ability to leverage appropriate communications mix, specific to chosen marketing objectives/strategies.
  •    Must have full understanding on measurement of effectiveness and efficiency of media buys across various forms of media (TV, print, digital, PR, etc)
  •   Must have experience in building organization capabilities / training
  •   Comfort with ambiguity, and building capabilities/organizations with very little definition.
