Calculation Engineer

The Company

Our Customer is the world’s leading provider of severe service control valve solutions. Our customer develops, designs, and manufactures a wide range of valves for use in the nuclear industry, power industry, oil and gas industry, and pulp and paper plants worldwide. The European Competence Centre for nuclear industry is based in Zurich-Area and includes development, production and implementation of new systems, spare parts and retrofits. Highest requirements concerning quality and appliance to regulations are typical in this market.

Due to the continuously growing demand for energy, we are in the fortunate position to be able to strengthen our Engineering team with a highly-motivated Calculation Engineer for the Nuclear Service Department.

 

Responsibilities

  • Calculation for the mechanical structure, hydraulic and thermodynamic calculation
  • Requalification, life time and damage analysis

 

 

The Profile

  • Engineering degree specializing in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with hydrodynamics and thermal dynamics
  • Experience with strength/resistance calculation and FE analysis
  • Experience with the nuclear environment and nuclear standards is an advantage
  • Very good English and French skills, German is an advantage
  • Used to work in team with complex projects
