Product Support Specialist (German/English) - Civil Engineering and Geospatial
New and exciting opportunity for a Product Support Specialist with detailed understanding of AUTOCAD Civil 3D or similiar products to join Autodesks award winning support team based in Neuchatel.
Outline:
This position provides the highest level of technical support for Autodesk Customers and Partners, and requires a detailed understanding of AutoCAD® Civil 3D or similar products.
A Specialist's primary responsibility is to provide technical support to external customers and partners and internal staff. A Product Support Specialist works with our most advanced 2D and 3D products, resolves technical issues and documents these and solutions in our knowledgebase, and reports product enhancements to our Product Development teams. A Product Support Specialist may be assigned special projects including: new products features and documentation review, creating and delivering trainings, product demos, and presenting at technical forums.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
· Provide technical support to external direct customers or partners and internal
collaboration, through phone, web interface and via email
· Use database tools to diagnose research and resolve technical issues
· Document client interactions in the case tracking system.
· Document problem resolutions in the database tools
· Technical solution documentation in social media to increase our self-help offerings for
customer and partner
· Work with development, testing and documentation teams during product development
cycle to ensure quality control
· Attend trade shows, perform customer visits or give product demonstrations, as
assigned
· Provide professional support by dealing with different stakeholders at customer's side
like the IT department and users or specialists from our partners
Required Skills:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the Civil Engineering, Computer Science,
Graphics or related field
· Advanced knowledge of Civil Engineering BIM software, like AutoCAD® Civil 3D or similar
products.
· Good knowledge of AutoCAD MAP is a plus
· Comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment.
· Fluency in German and English;
· Other languages like French, Italian, Spanish, Russian is a plus
· Very good verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex technical
details coherently
· Good customer service skills including phone etiquette and conflict resolution
· Must have very good troubleshooting skills, strong analytical problem solving skills and
the ability to interpret technical questions
· Ability to present technical information to a live or virtual audience
· Must be decisive, self-motivated and proactive, possessing strong desire to learn.
· Willingness to follow defined policies and procedures.
· Excellent Team player enjoying supporting and interacting with other members of a
shared responsibility team.
· Ability to set priorities of various assignments and complete them within allocated
deadlines with little or no supervision.
Desired Skills:
· Some Geospatial experience (for instance in GIS, Cartography, Topography,
Geography) and with GIS 3D CAD software like AutoCAD® Map 3® or similar GIS
products.
· Experience working directly with customers in a service-related position.
· Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network operating
systems.
· Field experience in engineering construction or land surveying is a plus.
· Knowledge of Relational and/or Spatial Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems.
· MCSE Certification is a plus.
