Finance Projects specialist

The Headquarters of our Global Grains Division is seeking an energetic, qualified  Fiance projects Specialistto join its team, coinciding with relocation to Geneva, Switzerland and ongoing expansion needs.

Job purpose

You will be an integral part of a project team supporting the international trading arm of Noble, and focused upon developing financial applications, financial reporting and process improvement.  We are currently developing the capabilities of our Grains Finance function overall.

 This role is project focused and requires some evidence of delivery on a project basis, ideally with an IT leaning.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Controller, and providing support and insight to the Controller, Switzerland, you support projects and other non-routine activity.

You will indeed be responsible for the management of multiple projects life-cycle in the finance department  including: Initiation; planning; requirements; development; testing; implementation; and closure phases.

Required Skills

• ACA, CPA, CIMA or ACCA, or equivalent international accounting qualification with a likely minimum 5 years commercial experience in finance
• Self-motivated and ability to work in an unstructured environment
• An aptitude for IT, systems applications and projects
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a proactive, innovating approach to work
• Working knowledge of project management methodology.

Additionally, 18mths+ experience in a soft commodities trading environment would be beneficial

Required Experience

• Financial accounting and reporting knowledge and strong appreciation of controls
• Track record of successful project involvement, ideally systems applications or projects
• Experience of Sun and HFM financial applications
• Identifying and implementing process improvements
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting accuracy and financial discipline and governance
