Senior Product and Clinical Support Specialist 

The incumbent is responsible for supporting Haemonetics Blood Management Solutions in Europe direct and distributors markets through medical education programs to increase awareness of the clinical benefits of these products and solutions in patient care providing a combination of in-depth education sessions and applied demonstrations in the clinical setting. The incumbent has to coordinate and provide external speakers material and training to ensure data dissemination in a rigorous manner. The incumbent has an in-depth understanding of the technical and clinical features of the company and competitor products; is responsible for providing continuous training and advice internally to ensure best technical and clinical knowledge of company equipment and products.

The objectives of this role are to :

  • Strengthen HAE clinical value proposition – advocacy and medical education
  • Ensure development and maintenance of high level internal clinical and technical training
  • Provide product application and clinical support
  • Support the sales organization with sales team training, and contribute to development of best in class promotional material intended to increase product sales and disposable utilization

The main responsibility of the incumbent are:

Strengthen Haemonetics clinical value proposition – advocacy & medical education - reinforce Haemonetics academic image :

  • Maximize Haemonetics’ value propositions to create value for patients and donors through medical and scientific projects, services and expertise, internally and with key external experts
    • Increase communication and data dissemination in conferences and medical events
    • Provide speakers briefing and develop supporting material for speakers
  • Disseminate Haemonetics science, develop KOLs advocacy for Haemonetics and its products
  • Implement KOL plans with the Clinical Marketing Manager in support of Haemonetics business priorities
  • Disseminate data through peer to peer interactions
  • Implement medical programs in collaboration with sales teams and the EU marketing and leadership team.
  • Support clinical research collaborations
  • May participate and speak at national and local conferences as needed

Responsible for Clinical TEG and BMS Expertise and training :

  • Increase own professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, participating in professional associations
  • Train sales teams, Haemonetics field trainers and distributors on BMS/TEG® clinical benefits, safe and efficient use, as well as selling against competitive products.
  • Support the EU marketing team in developing promotional and training material ensuring scientific accuracy
  • Identify and implement additional trainings as needed based on competitive intelligence, and feedback from customers, distributors or employees.

Competitive clinical marketing intelligence :

  • Develop a process to gather market competitive clinical marketing intelligence from field forces and all internal staff
  • Collect and analyze competitive intelligence:
    • Identify competitive product development for line extensions, product enhancements and future products.
    • Identify ongoing competitive clinical trials
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the applications of new and existing equipment and competitive products.
    • Understand the procurement process of hospitals and labs
    • Analyze competitive information and communicate internally
    • Understand how to address potential barriers in the hospital or lab setting to BMS/TEG®

Additional contributions :

  • Participate to exhibitions, conferences and meetings as well as follow-up on leads during these events
  • May provide customer application and customer training as needed
  • Actively contribute and share best practices with the EU Marketing and Training teams
  • Develop own business acumen

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Required Master in Science, MD, PhD degree, Pharm D a plus
  • Clinical/Research experience required – bench scientist in therapeutic areas, ideal candidate will have  an emphasis on hemostasis
  • Minimum three years clinical and/or industry experience
  • Knowledge of commercialization and business practices
  • Must understand the selling approach and proven medical selling experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- build quick, solid peer-peer relationships
  • Ability to work independently combined with ability to prioritize work management while remaining a team player
  • Aptitude and interest to understand, train customers and users
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Willingness to learn and determination to succeed in the challenging environment of a new product/solution introduction at all related phases in its life-cycle.
  • Solid computer skills in MS-Office, ERP and CRM
  •  Fluent in English (written and spoken) and in 1 or more other languages
  • Ability to travel frequently for several days in the row

 

 

Required minimal profile:
