Lead Technical Project Manager GIS (m/f/d)

Job Description Summary

The Lead Technical Project Manager GIS (m/f/d) is responsible to define the project execution strategy to deliver GIS projects on time, at customer satisfaction and at budget, applying Operations processes, EHS and quality systems, operating models and tools, throughout OTR, optimizing Revenue and Cash performance of the assigned project portfolio. From aligning the technical specifications at the project beginning, through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and installation is the project manager leading the project execution.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Customer interface: Interface to customers and to Solution units and Regions. Customer link and point of contact for all departments in the factory.
  • Project Planning: Follow-up of project milestones (handover, design freeze, engineering, procurement, assembly, FAT, site works, PAC). Customer inputs to factory planning, S&OP.
  • Project Financials: Sales pacing, project review, margin deviation monitoring and approval, project cash.
  • Engineering of Solution: Analysis of contractual documents, coordinate design clarification and launch of project specific design, calculations, tests. Definition of spare parts and tools lists.
  • Follow-up of procurement/production/delivery: Follow-up of procurement/production, communication with customer. Lead customer FATs. Shipping coordination with customer.
  • Site installation: Site preparation with customer, interaction on site conditions, erection interfaces, erection tools, manpower, working hours. Project specific Method Statement, Risk Assessment. Follow-up of site progress, communication with customer, site NCRs.
  • Project Commercial topics: claims, VOs, LDs negotiation, Bonds, Warranty.
  • Risk and Opportunities: identification of project R&Os, definition of action plan and project execution strategy.
  • Project closing: Handover with customer, closing of snags, last payments, bond recollection, handle of warranty issues, perform return on experience, closing of project and transfer to Service.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • More than 3 years of experience in dealing with technical specifications for production, quality assurance and electrical products and components.
  • Ideally University Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering
  • Ideally, experience with our product, Gas Insulated Substations, or other kind of high-voltage switchgears
  • Experience in project management in a production environment as well as a strong flair for commercial issues
  • Strong communication skills
  • High autonomy combined with a proactive and pragmatic approach to work
  • Fluent in German & English, further languages are an advantage.

Configuration of Current Transformers

  • Support GIS projects in configuration and sizing of current transformers. Align customer specific requirements with engineering and external suppliers.
