The Public Engagement Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Strategic Communications Specialist (SCS) or Public Affairs Officer (PAO) designee. Develops media contacts and assists in generating coverage of issues of importance to the U.S. to strategically advance U.S. foreign policy goals. Monitors regional, international and social media outlets, prepares summaries of media coverage, and reports on Mission media engagement. Supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of PD programs, including collaboration on digital content.
