EMEA HR Director

Position: EMEA HR Director / Senior Manager
Location: Schaffhausen (Zurich Region)
Salary Guide: 180 – 200,000 CHF + Bonus (Depending on experience)
Overview:
Our client is a leading US Chemical company that are currently setting up an EMEA HQ and SSC in Schaffhausen. We are searching for an EMEA HR Director to lead the project. This is a newly created position in Switzerland working closely with all business units as well as the global HR team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Take ownership of all HR functions for 20 + entities across EMEA, 550 employees and 28 different nationalities
- Reporting to the VP of Global HR based US West Coast
- HR Generalist position in the newly created EMEA HQ and SSC (start-up environment)
- Good mixture of strategy / planning and operations
- Work closely with the executive board on strategies and delivery of world class HR across EMEA:
- Change Management - Plan, Implement, Communicate, Measure, Involve
- Strategic Planning – Work closely with Stake holders and Business units
- Capacity planning – Understand and work closely with business units to facilitate and drive growth
- Talent Management / Recruitment – Leading EMEA wide recruitment drives, on-boarding and personal development across all levels
- Planned Change – Working closely with business units and understand cultural Change and diversity within a truly multicultural environment
- Workforce Planning – Work closely with the business units across EMEA, needs analysis reviews
- Performance Management – Work closely with heads of departments to develop employees and management
- Organisational Development – Culturally aware and able to drive projects in an assertive manner
- Proposition / Award System – Responsible for ensuring employees receive justification across the group
- Travel – Across EMEA as well as US and some APAC (approx. 30%)
- Budget planning – Responsibility in managing budgets to P+L
- Harmonisation - Enable business units and employee process, driving procedural controls
- Compensation & Benefits – Structure, benchmark and advise the business units on comp & bens packages across the EMEA
Candidate Requirements:
- Educated to degree standard minimum – Masters, MBA preferred
- Fully qualified CIPD or equivalent
- 10 - 15 years HR career with regular promotions / increase in responsibility
- 2 years HR Senior Manager / Director experience – leading a multinational team
- Always worked in an international and dynamic environment
- Chemical experience preferred but Engineering, Technology or Pharmaceutical sectors also considered
- Experience working across borders throughout EMEA
- Experience working in a varied / start-up environment – design and implement processes and systems from scratch
- Experience working with executive management and confidence / ability to ‘push back’ from a HR perspective
- Fluent English as well as European languages (French, German, Spanish…)
- Excellent IT skills – MS Office and ERP (SAP or Oracle)
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Willing to travel across EMEA
- Swiss or EU nationals or Swiss work permit holders will only be considered
