Architect / nX (Beijing)

Location: Beijing

Requirements

• Define the architectural direction of the nX product, analyzing customer problems and defining architectures that encompass multiple customer requirements into a single product.
• Work closely with engineering teams focused on designing and implementing the nX product by:
• Doing design & code reviews to insure quality, performance, stability, flexibility of the product as well as its consistency with the defined architecture.
• Participating in definition of tools to track quality, stability and performance of the product.
• Help translate Product Marketing requirements into product architecture.
• Help Project Managers to estimate development cost of features & to prioritize features.
• Mentor entire technical staff, recognizing new opportunities for product direction and providing technical direction for key projects.
• Provide advices to management and customers including strategic input as required.
• International travel when required.

Profile

a) Experience & Background:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software design/development in C or C including embedded software experience.
• Minimum 2 years architecture experience.
• Strong analytical and design skills.
• Experience in developing and debugging software on embedded environments.
• Experience in OS internals (UNIX, Linux, BSD or any similar micro kernel).
• Strong ability to read and understand complex source code, diagnose problem and suggest resolutions for any issues found.
• Experience with multiple development and build environments.
b) Qualifications :
• Advanced university degree in technology / computer science

c) Languages :
• Ability to communicate effectively in English via email, telephone or in person with customer engineers and project managers.
