Head of Marketing & Category Lead Premium Body Care

CONTEXT:
In a context of a fast changing & complex world, we need to constantly adapt and focus our efforts on what provides most value for our customers and for the company.
This means we need to
i) be closer to our customer
ii) have a more effective collaboration
iii) re-adjust plans more easily
iv) be focused on value.

In a nutshell, we need to be agile. That is why our central expert teams are organized in multi-functional teams working in Scrum to develop our brand products portfolio & activation campaigns. This agile framework is here to foster continuous improvement, iterative approach, collective intelligence and on-going prioritization to focus on what brings more value.

We are therefore looking for a highly motivated Head of Marketing & Category Lead Premium Body Care to join our multi-functional Premium Body Care Team !

The position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer L'OCCITANE en Provence and is based in the Group WHQ Plan-les-Ouates (near Geneva).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define the vision for the Premium Body Care category and continuously align stakeholders to it;
  • Influence, engage and manage stakeholders (both markets and central): understand, challenge and prioritize stakeholder needs & feedback and make them explicit & actionable for the team;
  • Drive strategic discussions to influence local activation;
  • Identify opportunities (new products, new initiatives) and pilot projects to work hand-in-hand with the Premium Body Care Scrum;
  • Clarify the client profile and determine the potential market share;
  • Ensure Premium Body Care strategy is in line with the Global Brand Communication and Image, clearly defining the role for the Brand;
  • Manage the Premium Body Care backlog (innovation, 360 activation plans) with on-going prioritization driven by value/opportunities/risks and also run efficient review & planning discussions;
  • Act as a leader for the team by inspiring them and creating / ensuring a climate of trust.

HOW YOU CAN FIT:

  • Senior professional with +5 years' experience in a similar position with a strong category vision and brand culture;
  • Solid experience in Premium Skin Care (Expert Category);
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong team-player & enabler with the ability to encourage co-construction and collective intelligence;
  • Solid stakeholder management experience with the ability to lead by influence and engage stakeholders at all levels;
  • Maturity to handle complexity and exposure to strategic stakeholders from top management;
  • Strong customer-centricity and business acumen and open to iteration & test-and-learn-approach;
  • Solid analytics skills, well-developed synthesis capability with a value based prioritization mindset;
  • Fluent in English with an intermediate level in French;
  • Available to travel up to 20 %;
  • Appetite for change and challenges, at ease in an international environment with remote & multicultural teams.
