Working as a Product Manager, you will be a key member of our Product Development Team, overseeing all steps in the lifecycle of software & service products, including roadmaps, development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability.You will manage a product for camera integration into System 800xA (Camera Connect) which is used in our mining applications and beyond and enables our customers to highly efficiently run and maintain their production sites from a centralized control room, which can be thousands of kilometers away from the actual facility. In addition, you will be engaged in the Product Management activities of another automation product used for process control and operation (Minerals Library), with the aim to after some time take ownership of both products Both products are used to create a holistic offering for Integrated Remote Operations Centers (IROCs), together with control room design and consulting services. You will be essential in positioning us and our solutions in those applications and driving operational efficiency onto a next level with new technologies (html5 / AR / VR / …).You will be reporting to the Global Product Manager Automation for Mining.Our Product Management and R&D teams are organized across various countries (Switzerland / Brazil & Sweden). As Product Manager, you will be required to manage and interface with multiple countries and departments, supporting Local Divisions to achieve their business goals.

Your responsibilities

• Owning the technical and market specification for the product and determining a product plan that supports sustainable growth. Leading market intelligence analysis and supporting the global product management in verifying technical and market specification.
• Develop and maintain respective Business plans for each managed Product/Solution, to ensure business KPIs achievement.
• Own respective Product/Solutions business KPIs. Acting as interface between internal functions (e.g., Sales, Operations, Research & Development) and external market and customers.
• Building teams spirit and leading / maintaining an active user community. Defining life cycle plan, according to the business plan, driving the strategy for the development in alignment with the overall automation strategy of the various industries and System 800xA
• Initiating and driving product market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation. Defining product customer value proposition per segment ensuring clear product positioning
• Guiding, coaching, and developing the skills and knowledge of the sales and operation team. Govern / organize L3&L4 support for the products
• Strongly interact with R&D team to ensure proper product support and roadmap implementation.

Your background

• Master’s or bachelor’s in computer science, Engineering or Business-related degree
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation
• Ideally: Experience in engineering & commissioning of applications with distributed control systems preferably with minerals library.
• Ability to globally collaborate with both the R&D team as well as with colleagues in engineering.
• Independent worker and fast learner, creative thinker
• Fluent business English, second language desired
