To deliver the business requirements to the customer/s in line with commercial agreements and

customer Service Level Agreements (SLA) whilst ensuring that business requirements are delivered safely.

To ensure compliance with DB Cargo Rail UK Rail Industry Standards and UIC legislation and to

support the delivery of the DB Cargo business plan through efficient operation of the location and

assets associated with delivery of the plan.

Responsibilities

• Reach Stacker Operation
• Overhead Crane Operation
• Fork Lift Truck Operation
• Support and / or undertake all office duties and processes as required by the business,
• customer or location need.
• Co-ordinate and undertake the train loading and unloading processes and supporting
• processes relating to the interface with track and trace systems, (TOPS / ANUBIS).
• Undertake the In Gate / Out Gate processes applicable at the location and maintain records
• in line with business and customer processes in place.
• Carry out LE1 / LE2 container inspections – if required.
• Provide internal and external customer service as required by phone, Email or other means as required.
• Undertake specific tasks relating to the Channel Tunnel rail operations – if required.
• Basic Maintenance and Repairs to site equipment including the undertaking of daily / weekly pre use checks on machines as required and the recording and maintenance of records associated with such checks.
• Decant procedure – if required
• Lining Operation – if required.
• Fire Precautions Manager – if required
• First Aider – if required
• Freight Train Working Regulations – as required / agreed.
• Work to location Specific Knowledge and rules and regulations associated with the workplace and site. · Mentoring of Staff.
• Rostering of Staff where applicable.
• Offer flexibility to maintain delivery to the Customer as may be required from time to time.
• Ensure all plant and machinery used is inspected and necessary servicing and maintenance activities are arranged and completed as required in the absence of the Terminal Manager.
• Oversee the day to day running of the Terminal operation.
• Deputise for the Terminal Manager from time to time.
• Ensure all site specific / business briefs and updates provided are cascaded to all staff within the location.
• Ensure that opportunities to improve the efficient operation of the location are communicated and discussed with the Terminal Manager. (Continuous Improvement).
• Act as a point of escalation within the location for matters which cannot be resolved directly by others.

Edellytykset

To be considered for the role you'll need the following

• Competency certification as required for the task / role being performed.
• DBC Standard Operating Instructions.
• Personal Track Safety Card – if required.
• Safety Critical Identification Card – if required.
• Compliance with the Rule Book (GE/RT8000).
• Understand and operate the DB Cargo management systems to deliver the business processes in place.
• Undertake the actions required as ANUBIS ‘Super User’ for the location as required by business need.
• Terminal Operation.
• Microsoft Office applications
• Lotus Office applications
