Professional qualifications and experience:
- Ph.D. in a business related discipline, alternatively a Masters of Business Administration or equivalent degree with significant industry experience
- Several years of managerial experience in the field of education at university level and business
- Demonstrated leadership and impact in an academic setting
- Pragmatic and entrepreneurial
- Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with multicultural teams and in an international environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
As Academic Dean, your main missions will be:
- As part of the leadership team, develop, communicate and promote the School's strategy and program portfolio, on the Swiss and UK campuses
- Foster a culture and an environment conducive to academic excellence, respect and trust in accordance with the School's spirit and values
- Implement strategies to ensure cross-campus collaboration and consistency of student and faculty experience
- Provide leadership to his/her teams in all matters related to academic excellence, delivery and quality; in all accreditation matters for all campuses; for the hiring, development, and allocation of faculty into the graduate and post-graduate programs
- Lead the development of applied research activities; develop, monitor, run and improve state of the art undergraduate and graduate programs
- Promote and evaluate student centred learning approach, champion the use of appropriate teaching technology, ensure a seamless student academic experience and enhance student employability
- Network actively with the hospitality industry to seek external expertise, provide guest speakers for the programs and potential employers for students
- Participate in external marketing, open days, public relations, and relationship with companies and student recruitment activities as to promote and develop the program
- In collaboration with HR department, manage his/her direct reports in all processes related to employee's life cycle (hiring, induction, performance)
