Role Overview
The Product Owner plays a key role in the Scrum (Agile) methodology. He or she is responsible for defining and prioritizing the product's functionalities, as well as communicating the customer's requirements at the development stage. 


The product Owner is responsible for

  • Managing the product development process (Functional design)

  • Work closely with Otis Line Team, to understand and identify the user's needs, and ensure the product meets customer expectations

  • Manage the overall completion of the following deliverables: 
     Business Case & Benefits
    Objectives/Scope
    Product Development & QA
    Deliver Legacy App Interfaces
    Risk Management
    Business Process Map
    Business Process Harmonization
    UAT
    Deliver global app interfaces
    Deployment (rollout)
    Deployment Playbook
    Capabilities Harmonization
    Business Process Gap Analysis
    Product Release Management
    Solution Change Control Process

The product owner will p rovide information useful to completing the following deliverables

  • Gates / Governance Review 

  • General Project Communications 

  • Training/Change Management 

The product Owner is informed on

  • Regional Resource Provisioning

  • Regional Team Org. Structure

  • Global Vendor Management

Qualifications/Experience

  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field 

  • Fluency in English and a second language (French or German)

  • Experience in Project Management is a plus 

  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle 

  • Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies (Familiarity with agile is a plus) 

  • Team spirit and good communication abilities 

  • Good organizational skills (process oriented)
