Description

IT Infrastructure Management:

Deploying, maintaining, and enhancing IT infrastructure components, including physical servers, virtualization resources, middleware, data storage, and network components.

Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and minimizing downtime to ensure maximum uptime.

Detecting, logging, and resolving problems efficiently.

Documenting operational procedures and configurations to ensure consistency and facilitate knowledge transfer.

Implementing proactive measures and conducting recurrent tests to ensure system resilience.

System Software Management:

Deploying and maintaining system software to meet operational needs and service levels.

Monitoring and optimizing the performance of system software to ensure efficient operations.

Resolving potential and actual problems related to system software.

Evaluating new system software and making recommendations for adoption.

Reviewing, provisioning, and testing system software updates while adhering to established safety, security, and quality standards.

Storage and Backup Management:

Managing storage equipment such as Storage Area Networks (SANs) and implementing storage processes such as replication, compression, and provisioning.

Configuring and monitoring backup, archival, and restore processes to ensure data integrity and availability.

Collaborating with the IS team to ensure the quality and security of storage and backup operations.

Performing regular recovery tests based on the organization's business continuity policy and documenting backup operations and test outcomes.

Profile

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. A Master's degree in IT is preferred

- Minimum of five years' experience in Systems Administration.

- Technical experise in the following systems:

  • Microsoft Server 2012 to 2022
  • Active Directory, GPO etc.
  • Virtualization Systems (e.g. Hyper-V and Nutanix)
  • PowerShell scripting knowledge
  • Microsoft SCCM
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Backup systems (e.g. Veeam)
  • Storage Systems (e.g. HPE StoreOnce)
  • Mobile Device Management (e.g. Intune, JAMF, MobileIron)
  • Network Configurations (e.g. VLAN, Subnet)
  • Systems Monitoring and performance Management (e.g. SolarWinds, Invgate)

- English verbal and written communication skills (French if possible)

- Swiss residence

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
