Our school welcomes around 270 students from over 70 nationalities in its bright, spacious, built-for-purpose premises. The British School of Geneva is a day school only and employs approximately 50 teachers and administrators. In order to support the highest standard and most effective operation of the school we now seek an outstanding TEACHER ASSISTANT for the 2023-2024 school year on a Fixed Term Contract.
Do you have a proven track record of outstanding Teacher Assistance working to support mainstream teachers and students with Additional Learning needs in your career to date. If you are confident that you can meet the requirements of this position with confidence and enthusiasm we would like to hear from you.
This position is to provide 1:1 Support in a mainstream English Language Secondary school in Geneva at 50% or 12 Hours per week and 10 hours of additional general Learning Support for students with additional needs including english Language acquisition.
The position runs for the full 2023-24 school year commencing with immedaite efefct.
Person Sepcification :
Experienced working with children with specific additional neeeds.
A calm personality.
Able to act in the best interests of another.
Trustworthy and kind in interactions with all.
Treat all with care and respect.
Flexible and adaptable.
Relaible, punctual and good at record keeping.
Available 5 days per week during school Term time.
Proven experience working effectively within a team.
Creative and able to utilise a varioety of resources.
IT proficient.
Eligibility requirements:
Must hold a Valid Work Permit for Geneva
Proof of Residency in Geneva or the Frontalier area.
Proof of Nationality
Fleuncy in English : Spanish or France in addition an advantage, but English a neccesity.
A 10 year Criminal Clearance background record is a requirement for appointment inclsive of all countries lived and worked in in that period (2013-2023).
Prior Experience working in a school setting is a distinct advantage.
