For is office of Mex, Switzerland, BOBST Mex SA is looking for a Packaging Engineer.
As Packaging Engineer you will report to the Packaging Center Director.
The contract type is permanent, start date negotiable.

Main responsibilities :
  • Process :
    • Bring concept, realize design & layout, prepare files and managing projects of needed packaging focusing mostly on Flexible Packaging and Label but also potentially Folding Carton and Corrugated Board.
    • Be part of the workflow process from PDF to end product.
    • Material & services orders, follow up with suppliers.
    • Ensure design realization and that deadlines & quality are met.
    • Assist storage management & materials logistic in Mex.
  • Exhibitions :
    • Support the Application Managers, Mex Packaging Centre and BOBST internal and external exhibitions.
    • Define and collect appropriate samples for demonstration purposes.
    • Be part of core team for BOBST events or Webinars realization.
  • Customer demos & tests :
    • Be "the Flexible Packaging person" in the Packaging Center
    • Support customer's demos & tests by controlling files, optionally order tools.
    • Coordinate box analysis requests and meet deadlines.
    • Establish reports and manage an archive system for these analyses.
    • Support instructors and vendors for work analysis, demonstration preparation, special
    • projects and file conversion for our customers.
  • "Upstream" marketing :
    • Search, study, collect and report on the current packaging market and its trends.
  • Ad hoc responsibilities :
    • Facility map of the Packaging Centre hall.
    • Insure proper machine/display connection to BOBST Connect.
    • Information update of intranet & internet Competence Center websites.
    • Support for projects with brand owners.

Education :
  • Master degree in Packaging Engineering
Specialisation :
  • Good track record in the Flexible Packaging is an asset.
Work experience :
  • 2 years experiences would be an asset
Languages :
  • French & English compulsory
  • Italian & German, an asset
Special condition :
  • Available to travel, mostly Europe (a few days per month)
