The Senior Logistics Manager develops and manages In- and Outbound logistics and warehousing functions to drive best in class service, has fiscal oversight and customer focus, including site logistics in Visp. The Senior Logistics Manager is responsible for the implementation of the overall business strategy, as well as the design and tracking of the service level agreements. Executing day-to-day cross-functional activities to support customer service, sales, logistics and MRP planning.

Essential Job Functions:

• Organizational and personnel management as well as the promotion, support and development of the direct employees and teams

• Responsible for tracking KPI's including reporting and implementing improvements

• Responsible for driving standardization, optimization for all logistic processes to ensure compliant product handling, transportation and distribution to optimize time and cost

• Perform all work in a safe manner in accordance with internal quality and COSHH regulations, and that EHS initiatives are supported

• Participation on terms and conditions negotiations with service providers

• Responsible for distribution network and optimal warehouse utilization within SPS globally

• Develop logistics solutions to both standard and custom client/stakeholder needs that leverage the Company’s volumes, systems and partnerships while providing consistently high service levels in a cost-effective manner to our customers

• Design and implementation of Site Support strategies and concepts for Arxada Visp

• Securing and coordination of the services of Site Support, which are currently covered by TSA

• Ensuring the continuous improvement process in terms of Operational Excellence

• Comply with all Regulatory/EHS/GMP/GDP/Security compliance procedures

• Strong coordination with the Global Procurement, Planning and In- & Outbound Logistics

• Accountable for all site warehousing and material management activities related to receiving, issuing, material storage, material handling including technical and chemical materials in Visp

• Responsible for inbound and outbound logistics as well as warehouse and inventory management

• Be hands on and support the team with complex logistics problems

Qualifications & Experience:

• BA / BS degree in Supply Chain preferred

• Min. 8+ years experience in a similar role

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to interface with various levels of management

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to portray data and leverage to drive continuous improvement

• Deep understanding of global chemical industry logistics

• Fluent in German and English

• Experience working with Swiss logistics providers and Swiss customs is a plus
