We are R&D Point of Care System Development & Integration – the architects of ready to use IVD systems for near-patient testing. Using our blood gas analysis technology, healthcare professionals are able to make decisions for patients in critical situations - in the emergency room, in the intensive care unit and in the operating room.

We are looking for you! You will be part of our Systems Engineering Process team, where we support the development of the next generation blood gas analysis systems. Using Systems Engineering processes and methodologies, we define, manage, and maintain our complex systems for efficient development and ensure the system reliability and fulfillment of the needs of the medical staff and patients.

This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, on-site with the possibility of up to 20% remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Systems Engineering and Architecture squad by continuing the development of existing Systems Engineering tools and processes

  • Maintenance and improvements to the existing system model, based on expert inputs from multidisciplinary teams

  • Propose recommendations and implement ideas for the input/maintenance processes to enable efficient use of the model

  • Maximize benefit of tool framework for the project needs

Who You Are

You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of biomedical or other engineering specialization, biotechnology, chemistry, etc within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.

Furthermore you are

  • Comfortable working in a diverse team and eager to bring innovative ideas, required

  • Able to work in a structured manor and communicate effectively, required

  • Knowledgeable in systems engineering and model-based systems engineering (MBSE), preferred

  • Experienced with Enterprise Architect (UML/SysML) or similar tools, preferred

  • Knowledgeable in English (spoken and written), required, German is a plus

Technical details:

The preferred start date for the internship is September 2024. Please state your preferred start date and the desired duration of the internship in your application.(September 2024 / duration 6 to 12 months)

Part-time employment is not possible.

If required, it is possible to write a thesis during the internship.

The application deadline is April 30th.

Interviews will take place in the second and third week of May (between May 13 and 23).
