Research Associate / PhD Student in Responsible Innovation and Entrepreneurship (m/w/d)

Your tasks

Position Overview:

In this role, you will conduct rigorous research under the doctoral supervision of Prof. Dr. Charlotta Sirén, aimed at achieving publication in leading journals in the field. As such, this opportunity is particularly suited for candidates with a keen interest in pursuing an academically oriented PhD.

Your tasks:

  • Conduct research as part of your PhD thesis in responsible innovation and entrepreneurship;
  • Collaborate with team members on interdisciplinary research projects;
  • Engage in outreach activities to promote research and increase the institute's visibility;
  • Assist in teaching activities, including courses and supervision of Master's and Bachelor's theses;
  • Collaborate with the team to organize workshops, seminars, and conferences aimed at fostering academic dialogue and knowledge exchange

Your profile

  • Outstanding Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Entrepreneurship, Social Responsibility; Innovation, Management, or related fields) fulfilling the requirements for admission to a PhD program at the University of St.Gallen (see https://www.unisg.ch/en/studying/admission/admission-phd/management/ for more information);
  • Strong interest in responsible innovation and entrepreneurship, coupled with a keen desire to contribute to academic scholarship in these areas;
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn academic research methods, whether quantitative or qualitative and a strong commitment to excellence in rigorous methodologies;
  • Demonstrated previous research experience is highly advantageous;
  • Proven ability to tackle analytical problems;
  • Independent, structured way of working, and the ability to independently manage your time;
  • Team spirit and interest in collaborative projects;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
