Digital Accounts Trader (Vans, EMEA)

VANS EMEA is looking for an exceptional Trader for the Digital Accounts to join our Digital Marketplace Team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s Talk about the Role

You, as a Digital Trader, will play a key role in performing cross-functionally activities related to optimizing performance, through highly effective in-season management, inventory management, reporting and data analysis for Vans’ Partner DTC Models (Strategic Accounts). You will be responsible of monitoring performance and taking actions in alignment with our Financial Plan and Brand Strategy.

How You Will Make a Difference

You will achieve this by:

  • Being responsible for inventory management: including initial stock allocation, in-season stock replenishments, periodical OTB revision (with Operations/Finance Teams) and end-of-season stock clearance.
  • Developing and further building reporting to provide insights about performance.  Constantly optimize/improve metrics by providing actionable insights to the business.
  • Analysing sales and stock to define the mark-down strategy and recommend actions to performance marketing so to boost sales in line with our marginality expectations.
  • Building partnership with financial counterparts to ensure consistent alignment on the plan and actions.
  • Make recommendations linked with the Pre-season Plan to enable the seasonal assortment strategy.
  • Collaborating, and periodically define a joint strategy with the Key Account manager and other relevant stakeholders. Present weekly performance to stakeholders.

Skills for Success

  • Experience: 3+ year experience in Merchandising/Planning within a fast-paced fashion retail business, preferably in a multi-brand online retailer or in the eCommerce Team of a fashion brand.
  • Language skills: English (fluent, written and spoken).
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills: accuracy and attention to details.
  • Excellent understanding of online marketplaces and e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills, proactive attitude, ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong Excel proficiency, familiarity with BI systems is a plus (IBM Cognos, SAP Business Objects).

A formal education and subsequent University bachelor’s or master’s degree are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
