As a Research Assistant - Micronutrients and Bioactives your will apply general knowledge of chemistry (including analytical chemistry) and food science while conducting laboratory experiments, pilot plant trials and prototyping in compliance with good laboratory practices and safety rules.


Key responsibilities  

  • Prepare and carry out experiments by developing working methods and/or protocols
  • Manage/coordinate research activities within larger projects       
  • Actively participate in the implementation of the developed methods/results within Nestlé Research, Product Technology Centers (PTCs), Operations and Markets, and manage the training of the local resources on the implementation
  • Coach the new employees, project students and apprentice on good working laboratory practices, and laboratory methods           
  • Present methods and results at department and the Nestlé Research level, and write communications and reports                                                                                   
  • Provide technical/scientific qualified support to projects by assisting project managers in the selection of processes and methods                                     
  • Lead and support execution of fast prototyping on his own concepts or peers                                                                                                                             

Required Profile 

  • CFC or Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life sciences or equivalent
  • Passionate about food
  • Min 3 years of experience in chemistry fields
  • Experience in managing activities in the frame of different research projects
  • Experience in Food Processing would be an asset
  • Knowledge with apprentices training would be an asset
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written
