Our division Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), based in Zurich-Oerlikon, is active in the development and production of gas insulated switching systems. We ensure the high reliability of our systems by using state-of-the-art
development tools and methods.

We are looking for a sales person with innovative ability, assertiveness, flexibility, and the capability to sustain one’s position in a tough negotiation environment. As Area Sales Manager in Zurich-Oerlikon it is your exciting task to distribute a cutting edge product portfolio.

Your responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for tender management of the GIS product line

  • Support the product marketing manager, globally operating Product Group Territory Marketing Managers, as well as local front end sales organizations

  • Prepare market analyses and develop market strategies

  • Process commercial and technical customer requests

  • Perform risk reviews and set up cost calculations

  • Devise complete offers

  • Negotiations with internal and external customers

  • Hand over projects to project management

  • Prepare production forecasts and provide support in preparing sales key figures (budget)

  • Hold customer workshops, sales trainings, and participate in trade fairs

  • Carry out regular customer visits

  • Contribute to updates of technical offer documentation and to further development of sales tools

Your background

  • Degree (Bachelor/Master) in a technical discipline and, ideally, electro-technical education plus further qualification in business administration

  • Working experience in sales and customer acquisition

  • Market as well as product knowledge in the field of substations and/or switchgear

  • Very good command of written and verbal English, German knowledge is a plus

  • Ability to work within a team as well as to set up tactical targets

  • Results-oriented within specified and fully compliant business processes

  • Conceptual and independent approach to work

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, assertiveness, and ability to convince

  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
