Test Engineer Engine Laboratory

Responsibilities

In this challenge position as part of our ambitious future fuels global project, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation within the marine engine developmnent sector. Your primary responsibility will include, but is not limited to, the testing of our latest prototype design with cutting edge measurement technologies. In addition to these important tasks, we will also be required to satisfy the following:

  • Leading performance, components and system tests in our R&D test center in Oberwinterthur
  • Preparing test programs in cooperation with internal experts, the test team and externals (e.g. suppliers)
  • Evaluation, calibration and installation of test/measuerement equipment
  • Analysis and visualisation of measurement data and creating test reports
  • Organisation and quality control of required test components & equipment
  • Continuous optimisation of test processes, measurement methods and data analysis tools

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline (Marine, Mechatronic, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge in thermodynamics and exhaust emissions
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. AVL Concerto, Matlab, Excel)
  • Experience with SPS and measurement technology (AVL Indicom, HBM Quantum X)
  • General knowledge of data communication (CAN bus, Modbus)
  • Structured and solution-oriented way of working
  • Team player with good ability to communicate
  • Willingness to support mechanical works
  • Fluent in English and German
