Senior Sales Manager for Service and Revamps (all genders welcome) at Operating Unit Petrochemicals and Polymers

The Senior Sales Manager for Service and Revamps will report to the Head of Service at thyssenkrupp Uhde. The role will involve close communication with key personnel in Process, Engineering, Project Management, Commercial Project Management, Procurement, Legal and our Partners. Frequent travel to customer sites and industry conferences worldwide will be required.

  • You identify and develop service projects, equipment replacements, revamps, plant improvements, technical studies and digitalization projects worldwide for our innovative service products and proprietary technologies.
  • You develop technical concepts in close cooperation with the customers, our process department and licensing partners.
  • Act as the central contact for customers during the project development and proposal phases.
  • You manage the bid preparation process, together with the technical and commercial departments.
  • You are leading the negotiation with the customers for the service contracts.
  • Actively participate in conferences and deliver technical presentations to increase market awareness of Uhde’s service technology offerings.
  • You analyze customer service needs and develop profitable service product strategies.
  • Maintaining the CRM database of opportunities, projects, and customers.
  • You have a university degree (Graduate Engineer / Master’s) in process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering
  • You have several years’ experience in chemical plant engineering, sales, or service activities in a comparable environment.
  • Ideally you bring experience in the fields of petrochemicals, polymers, green methanol, VCM/PVC or MtX.
  • You have excellent oral and written command of English.
  • You are open minded and have passion for working with people from other cultures in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential, as is the ability to negotiate with all levels of personnel from corporate management to plant operation, maintenance, and management.
  • You are willing to travel on an international basis, even at short notice, due to the international nature of our business.
  • High degree of self-initiative, ability to work under pressure, good organizational skills, active communication, strong leadership qualities and an interest in complex and challenging tasks.
