Ayvens Capital Manager for the Normative perspective - Corporate & Investment banking

Responsibilities

The mandate of the Capital Manager for the Normative perspective is to work closely and transversally with the different finance departments as well as Risk department (incl. model development), anticipating and assessing risks that may impact the NewCo’s capital position, from a regulatory perspective.

More precisely, the mandate will be:

  • Capital planning, in collaboration with SG/DFIN
  • Total Risk Exposure Amount (TREA) per risk type, own funds and capital ratio calculation for the required scopes of consolidation
    • Impact of (future) changes in regulation (e.g. CRR3 / Basel IV)

The Capital Manager will report to the Head of Capital Management.

Key objectives are to:                

·         Be responsible for the prudential regulatory watch (in collaboration with DFIN/ PFS/ SCR and external experts), the analysis and calculation

o    Being accountable for the regulatory compliance of the TREA, own funds and capital ratio calculation process and share output to other users (e.g. Regulatory Reporting, Regulatory Committee, etc);

o    Providing requirements and guidance on setting up TREA and own funds calculation engines;

o    Driving and overseeing regulatory change with regard to credit risk, market risk, operational risk, RWEA, own funds, and capital ratio;

o    Performing business and regulatory impact assessment with regard to credit risk, market risk, operational risk, RWEA, own funds, and capital ratio;

o    Monitoring and interpreting movements in relation to RWEAs, TREA, own funds, and capital ratio output to stakeholders (e.g. Regulatory Committee);

o    Preparing monthly Regulatory Ratios Dashboard

·         Supervise the compliance of the regulatory ratios of other regulated entities (LP Group BV, LeasePlan Corporation) ensuring all of the above is done at their levels, and ensuring that adequate capital is allocated to regulated entities

·         Design the scare resource management framework and ensure the coordination of the scare resource steering with the other finance teams involved in the production of the metrics

·         Ensure compliance with all capital regulatory metrics projections committed to the regulator by:

o    Elaborate capital projections based on financial ones

o    Making recommendations on target regulatory capital ratios in relation with Investor Relations / Rating / SG / Supervisor expectations

o    Making recommendations in terms of remediation actions (if capital targets not met – cf. CAS), on regulatory capital instruments (AT1, T2) and on Group dividend distribution levels

o    Coordinating remediation actions throughout the Group (Group Strategic Financial Planning, Group Funding and Treasury Group Risk, Countries) enabling to achieve those targets

o    Provide all necessary communication and expertise on the topic to the Group management, the Board, the regulator and the Investors through the Investor Relations team

o    Contribute to the financial communication of the Group on regards to prudential matters

·         Draft and implement capital management policies in line with SG Code and prudential framework

Define and execute the dividends collection strategy from entities to ensure capability to distribute dividends at ALD SA level in line with the capital management strategy and targets

Profile required

Competences description 

  • Proven experience in regulatory capital management and steering in a banking institution, a regulatory authority or in a business consulting or accounting firm
  • Knowledge of the banking sector, with a good understanding of the leasing industry
  • Expertise in prudential regulation and IFRS accounting standards 
  • Business mindset with ability to challenge appropriately and effectively
  • Autonomous, engaged, structured and rigorous
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English

Job requirements

  • Proven experience in Accounting / Finance / Internal or External Audit   
  • Experience of partnering at a senior level with an executive management team, Board members and external parties
  • Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders in complex and international environments
  • Experience in building and leading teams in a culturally diverse environment
  • Organisationally as well as socially sensitive ability to effectively maintain a constructive working relationship with all central, local operational and SG teams 

Experience of 10+ years in similar role is expected.
