Procurement Officer

Our Procurement team in Geneva is looking to add:


Procurement Officer

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of selection strategy and onboarding of External Consultants (40%), including governance and quality and cost optimisation initiatives;
  • Manage mainly IT contracts and licenses review project. Implementation of new Banking Applications contracts. Manage the commercial relationship with all the suppliers involved; mainly IT;
  • Liaise with Project teams, focusing on Polaris and other strategic projects, under the guidance of the Head of Procurement, and provide support on all Procurement related tasks;
  • Contribute to the consolidation and expansion of the Procurement department at Group and International level (Wealth Management, Asset Management and Brokerage);
  • In accordance with the Procurement policy (indirect spend), ensure the management of new purchase requests, renewals and renegotiation of existing agreements with local and international suppliers;
  • Update the global centralization system of contracts at Group level and follow the renewal cycle;
  • In collaboration with the Head of Procurement, establish and manage the links between this department and the various business lines, mainly legal, IT and project managers;
  • Manage the commercial relationship with all relevant suppliers;
  • Perform any other Procurement tasks as requested by Head of Procurement, in particular Business Process definition and improvement;
  • Any other duties required consistent with your role.


Candidate’s Profile:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Procurement team within a financial institution. Experience with external consulting hiring and on boarding is a plus;
  • University degree or equivalent;
  • Negotiation and contracting experience in the following categories: IT, Professional services, Marketing, Logistics, Market Data;
  • Legal knowledge at contractual level – focus on IT licensing and external consulting contracts;
  • Effective communicator, cultural sensitivity and ability to work in transversal team environments;
  • Fluent in French and English, other languages an asset.
