For our Legal Affairs & Intellectual Property (IP) department based at our Headquarters in Lausanne, we are looking for a

 

IP Paralegal & Legal Assistant (60%)

Your responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Management of Patent and Trademark files (both electronic and paper) & archives
  • Management of Patent & Trademark database, including bibliographic data & deadlines
  • Patent annuities & Trademark renewals follow-up
  • Various documents preparation for Patent and Trademark (assignment, correspondence to attorneys, e-filing, legalization of documents, INN…)
  • Support in Presentations preparation for IP and legal Counsels
  • Act as Legal & paralegal administrative assistant back up (vacation, days-off), especially in the preparation and process of Agreements, Letters of Authorization, Power of Attorney
  • Support in budget preparation and invoices follow-up
  • Various administrative support for the department (expenses processing, organization of meetings, monitoring agendas, phone & emails filtering and replies…)

Your profile

  • At least a Commercial Employee Training (CFC) or equivalent, combined with at least 5 years as Administrative Assistant in Intellectual Property and Paralegal in an international company.
  • A first experience in a Legal Firm is an advantage
  • IP paralegal experience in a pharmaceutical firm preferred
  • The understanding of Intellectual Property principles is needed (basic knowledge of WIPO - EP – IPI). CAS IP Paralegal a plus.
  • First experience with Intellectual Property management software
  • Fluent in English and French (written and oral);
  • Great capacity for organization, planning and priority management;
  • Responsiveness, initiative, stress resistant, motivated and ability to handle unexpected situations, great flexibility, openness;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
