DIRECTOR OF SALES

We’re looking for a Director of Sales to lead our Sales team.

Reporting directly to our Director of Sales & Marketing for Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London and Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, you will be part of the on-property leadership team and manage the day-to-day smooth running of the Sales department, alongside our Director of Group and Events.

As a Director of Sales at Mandarin Oriental you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the formulation and execution of Sales strategies to drive room and catering revenue.
  • Directing the Sales team to ensure targets are met and exceeded, fostering a high-performance culture ensuring our team act as entrepreneurs within their segments.
  • Growing existing accounts and finding new revenue streams and partnerships, working alongside the Director of Revenue Management to direct the Sales Teams in driving upselling, identify market opportunities and developing partnerships accordingly.
  • Planning and executing sales trips, attending local and overseas trade shows and meetings to identify market opportunities as well as organizing and delivering FAM trips as required and meeting all influential clients.
  • Understand and have an acute awareness of the competitive landscape, market and industry trends and be adaptable to an ever changing global climate.

To be a successful Director of Sales, you will have a proven track-record of managing a team, with excellent leadership skills to drive results, coaching team members to deliver. You are passionate, motivated and take pride in being driven and organised in your approach, leading by example for your team.

We are looking for a candidate who has extensive industry experience within the Luxury Hospitality market, a natural leader who has both the ability to influence, inspire and coach a high performing business development team. Has an eye for detail, strong communication, both internally and externally and strives to deliver at the highest possible level.
