System Administrator (Intern)

We are looking for a System Administrator (Intern), Corporate IT within the Technology Operations team. 

Location: Rolle, Switzerland 

Start date: 2024 June 1st (or earlier, depending on availability)  

Duration: 6 months  

Schedule:  Full time (40 hours/week) 

 

What You Will Learn: 

  • How Project management is done using JIRA to track and organize tasks, issues, and workflows. 
  • How Agile development methodologies are used to deliver high-quality software quickly and efficiently. 
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and objectives. 
  • Best practices for JIRA administration to improve efficiency and productivity. 

Project Description: 

Complete a six-month internship to contribute to on an innovative project involving business analysis and project coordination for the migration of JIRA software development projects used by our Data Science team.

You will have the opportunity to learn and master the most popular JIRA software development tool and work on a redesign and migration project.  

Working closely with our team, you will be driving the migration, contributing to a project that is vital for the daily activities of the key data science team in the company. 

 

Other Activities: 

In addition to your primary project, engage in diverse activities to enrich your experience: 

  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for other innovative projects including implementation of a subscription management solution 
  • Collaborate with infrastructure services and other teams across the organization 
  • Develop your critical reasoning for system refactoring, solution architecture, modularization and implementation. 

Requirements

Your Profile: 

  • A completed Bachelor in Computer Science or similar field degree. 
  • Has a solid understanding of software development process. 
  • Has capability to quickly understand a platform and learn to administer it and manage the tools around it  
  • Communicates effectively in English (spoken and written) and excels in teamwork and collaboration. 
  • Valid working permit (including student working permit) 
  • Displays a keen interest in software development methodology and impacting
