Senior Manager Procurement

Overview

SUMMARY

Leads sourcing activities for Direct & Indirect Procurement for the Yverdon BioPlant within the GMP Manufacturing space. Drives functional expertise through an understanding of supply markets/trends, cost drivers and the impact to Incyte’s business model. Works closely with key stakeholders to develop effective sourcing strategies that enable improvements in quality, service, innovation and annual cost reductions. Develop supplier relationships that leverage supplier capabilities, improve supply continuity and reduce costs. Effectively prioritize work incorporating Operations, Quality and Business requirements.  


DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

Develop sourcing strategies for new and existing materials, services, equipment and technical systemsWork closely with key stakeholders to develop cost reduction strategies and implementation plans that meet business needs. Drive annual cost savings in each spend category and track savings programs Negotiate best prices, implement and negotiate supplier agreementsIdentify cost savings opportunities and implement plan to realizeIdentify and drive qualification of two sources for new raw materials Develop risk mitigation plans for sole sourced itemsDrive awareness of active supply issues clarifying business impact and lead resolution plans. Provide support to Supplier Quality to monitor supplier performance metrics and actively participate in CAPA/Deviation/CC development, execution and closure plans Be the Sourcing POC for new product projects throughout processProvide and meet timelines for new raw materials that support launch datesPrepare regular status updates for reporting progress, issues, safety, quality etc.Continually evaluate services offered by existing and prospective vendorsSupport and lead specific supplier selection, negotiation and supplier management strategiesDevelop and improve relationships with stakeholdersDevelop and maintain market understanding and working knowledge of supply economics, processes and cost drivers for the relevant product portfolio, including staying abreast of new technologiesEnsure support to the ERP Project implementation  as SME for Procurement BioplantPrepare and execute Purchase Requisition/ Purchase Order training for the BioPlantEnsure support to ICE360 as BioPlant ChampionUnderstand and implement internal policies, procedures and specificationsContribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics Act within compliance and legal requirements as well as within company guidelinesDelegate to: Procurement Specialist

REQUIREMENTS

Life Sciences Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience from biotech industry or pharmaceutical.Must speak English and French Ability to work in a fast paced – high regulated environmentMinimum of 8 years related experience in procurement and sourcing or closely related experience in the businessKnowledge and experience of current purchasing best practicesPractical knowledge with cGMP's and understanding of biotech / pharma production processes is a requirement.Must be able to travel Team work oriented mindset
