For our new Technology Center in Schaffhausen (Switzerland) we are looking for a

Your primary responsibility is to support Process Safety Management (PSM) in new process developments, technology changes or new transfers as well as new product introduction at owned sites and CMO. As a member of the global Process Safety team this role provides leadership, strategic guidance, technical expertise, and support in these development activities.

What you do with us

  • You ensure effective functioning and continuous improvement of PSM systems.
  • You lead or participate in global PS team goals and initiatives to support development and improvement of PSM related standards, procedures, tools, and guidance.
  • You participate in EHS Compliance Audits
  • You lead or participate in investigations to ensure proper classification, thorough root cause analysis and drive implementation of appropriate actions to prevent recurrence.
  • You assist in process safety evaluations in all phases of new developments and projects.
  • You provide guidance and support for the development of process safety information and technology transfer packages.
  • You support Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) preparation, resourcing, execution, and review of final reports to ensure correct application of PSM systems.
  • You lead process safety hazard analyses or reviews as necessary
  • You provide training and qualification to ensure adequate implementation of PSM Standard, procedures, and tools

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or science. Chemical Engineering or appropriate years of experience is strongly preferred
  • More than 10 years’ experience in PSM within chemical manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to effectively influence in a matrix organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor PSM resources to improve functional capability
  • Experience working in manufacturing/operations functions
