Media Relations / Communications Specialist for Francophone Markets (CH-FR, FR, BE)

Bank Lombard Odier & Co Ltd in Geneva is looking for a candidate to fulfil the following mission statement: Media Relations / Communications Specialist for Francophone Markets (CH-FR, FR, BE) YOUR MISSION: • Management of press relations, particularly in French-speaking Switzerland, France and Belgium: handling requests, writing and distributing media releases, organizing, preparing and following up interviews, media coverage of certain events, etc. • Coordination and management of international PR agencies: establishment of annual PR action plans, proposal, writing and distribution of content, organization of interviews and press events, definition of objectives and measures to evaluate the results of agencies; • Promotion of the House's expertise: identification of themes, creation of content and dissemination of views; • Journalistic monitoring: news monitoring, social media monitoring and defense of the Bank's reputation on the internet - back up of the daily press review; • Preparation and management of the media activity of certain projects: publication of results and partnerships for example; • Support to the Head of External Communications during crisis communications; support with managing media activities and external engagement of Managing Partners, designing comms strategies, managing specific projects; • Driving thought leadership campaigns together with the PR team around sustainability, innovation & technology and investment capabilities. DESIRED PROFILE: • University degree, preferably in economics, degree in communications; • At least 5 years of experience in media, press relations and writing, or similar; • Professional experience in an agency/journalism or in the financial and private banking environment; • Excellent knowledge of the media landscape, particularly of economic and financial journalists, and a strong network in French-speaking Switzerland, with France and Belgium a plus; • Excellent writing skills in French to produce press releases and press kits; Ease of contact and good negotiation skills; Organized, autonomous and dynamic person, used to managing pressure, while knowing how to work within a team; • Fluency in English and knowledge of German; Spanish is an asset; • Excellent command of the usual computer programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint); • Residence in Switzerland.
