The purpose of the Financial Controller is to assist the CFO, Deputy CFO & Accounting Manager to have better control on the financial processes of the daughter companies and to coordinate the reporting, consolidation of those entities.


The Financial Controller is responsible to control the output of the local accounting departments, assist and coach local accounting teams in day-to-day activities in order to increase quality and perform an accurate timely reporting of these entities.







  •  Ensure the agencies' reporting on a daily and weekly basis (clients / suppliers balances, treasury situation, billing tracking)                                                                              
  • Analyze and anticipate the cash needs of the agencies
  • Prepare the quarterly reports of the Group                                          
  • Participate at the annual closure of the agencies' accounts
  • Work out the budgets of the agencies                                           



  •  Analyze and monitor the clients / suppliers balances, billing delay and first bookings
  • Handle the monthly intercompany reconciliation
  • Verify the lettering of payments received by the agencies from Head Office
  • Ensure the re-invoicing of general expenses and specific operations to the agencies
  • Verify the interfaces on SelectLine program (Company + Accounting) and corrects the errors of entry  
  • Check the update of exchange rates on agencies' SelectLine program.                                                                                                          


  •  Assist agencies on their various accounting issues                               
  • Coach agencies on the use of SelectLine Accounting
  • Help agencies to preparer their documents when obtaining lines of credit from banks
  • Supervise the financial audits and the documents necessary to General Assemblies
  • Assist on setting up of SelectLine Accounting in new agencies            

  Business trips in our entities (mostly Africa) will be asked.


   Ideal Candidate :

  •  Master degree in Finance and/or Accounting                                                    
  • Previous experience in positions in finance and financial analysis                                
  • Fluent in French and English. Portuguese is a plus                                                      
  • Solid analytical skills                                                  
  • Team player with strong communication skills                                                 
  • Advanced Excel skills                                                                                    
  • Positive attitude and solution oriented mind                                                    
  • Shipping knowledge is an asset                                                                                 
  • Willing to handle financial management responsibilities in expatriation after 2 years of Headquarters experience.
