Job Summary

 

At Swissport we operate a lean team of excellent IT Service Owners, each owner is given the authority to handle most decisions in their area of responsibly independently. Each IT Service Owner also manages small to medium sized projects in alignment with internal project management principles.

The IT Service Owner is responsible for the management of the lifecycle of the Resource Management IT Application Portfolio. This comprises monitoring of the usage and performance of the all applications related to Planning, Rostering and Allocation, including all their integrated and related technologies, handling of continuous service improvement, facilitating of necessary changes especially when related business processes change and reporting for this IT service.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor the availability and performance of the applications Portfolio
  • Ensure that full support model is in place - identifying gaps and addressing where needed
  • Monitor the end user satisfaction with the applications Portfolio
  • Design technical configuration of application group
  • Ensure the platform is up to date in all its components
  • Keep documentation and inventory up to date
  • Define and maintain application roadmap bearing in mind global architecture principles, IT Policies, company and local regulations
  • Manage relationship with developers and vendors
  • Test and approve test results
  • Manage and control pro-actively licenses for operational needs
  • Manage IT Application service budget
  • Reporting all aspects of quality for the assigned IT service(s)
    • performance according to underlying SLAs
    • customer satisfaction
    • usage of the IT service(s)
    • incidents, problems, service request & changes related to the IT service(s)

 

Qualifications and Competencies

 

  • University degree in engineering, computer science or similar education
  • 5+ years IT Application Service Management experience
  • 2+ years in small-medium size Project Management
  • Experience supporting IT applications the aviation industry is an advantage
  • Experience in Inform Product Suite would be beneficial
  • Experience in Resource Management (planning, rostering, allocation and task handling) is an advantage
  • Understanding of Application Design & Architecture
  • PMP, Prince2 and/or ITIL certification would be beneficial
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence
  • Strong positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Great team player willing to support team-mates outside areas of responsibility
  • Fluent with oral and written English
