Mission

Senior Support Engineer is to drive and coordinate support investigation across several teams, in order to bring a resolution in optimal time. The scope of support activities is mainly focused on embedded devices (Set Top Boxes), integrating Nagravision Security.

Responsibilities

  • Autonomously analyse and resolve support requests (i.e. analysis of problems, implementations recommendations, source code analysis and test material).

  • Operate closely with other teams (such as Integration Centers, R&D, other support teams and partners) when deeper knowledge is needed.

  • File tickets to R&D when an issue in our products is identified.

  • Take the lead of investigations on device side when deployment issues are found. Coordinate troubleshooting of the failure with R&D and ensure communication to the stakeholders.

  • to identify and resolve complex integrations/on site issues.

  • Multi-site synchronization with teams worldwide.

  • Provide general technical consulting on our systems to customers and Nagra regional engineers.

  • Participate actively in the adaptation, improvement and validation of the development integration process and associated test material.

  • Participate in process and tool improvement/development within the department.

 

Requirements / Profile

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in real time embedded software development cycles

  • In depth knowledge of C/C++ programming language

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in technical issues analysis and solving

  • Good handling of multi-tasking activities, resistance to stress

  • Customer oriented, good communication skills to maintain good relationships with customer

  • Knowledge in Digital TV, STB and access control technology

  • Experience with web services a plus (REST API, SOAP API)

  • Ability and willingness to recognize, evaluate and integrate the relevant new concepts and technologies

  • Rigorous, autonomous and proactive combined with being good team-player

  • Advanced university degree in technology / computer science

  • Fluent English (written and spoken - B2 / C1)

  • Good knowledge in French (written and spoken - B2)

  • Other languages or multicultural experience an asset.

Constraint: Occasional on-site travel is expected (up to 3-4 times per year).
