As a Regulatory Scientific Director you are a part of the Product Safety, Regulatory and Quality Assurance (PSRQA) team of the global Flavors group. In this role you are going to lead Givaudans’ Global Regulatory Toxicology group and work enclose with the Global Head of Regulatory and Scientific affairs to review and develop new scientific and technical processes and solutions as well. This role can be based in Kemptthal or Cincinnati. Candidates applying should consider to relocate to one of those sites.

You will:

 

  • Support the toxicological, regulatory and scientific review of new flavor substances and processes developed by the Science and Technology (S&T) group
  • Coordinate external collaborations for contracted Toxicology studies
  • Assist PSRQA in the maintenance of local, regional and global computational toxicology capabilities 
  • Advice S&T with regards to Toxicology/ Scientific questions on S&T projects
  • Manage scientific information to support projects
  • Provide regulatory and product safety support to Applications Technology Flavor Creation plans
  • Scientific and regulatory support to other internal groups as directed by the head of Global Regulatory Services
  • Support compilation and filing of global registrations for new ingredients by acting as the principle liaison between S&T and PSRQA
  • Develop an understanding of global registration requirements and flavoring regulations to support S&T
  • Monitor general scientific and regulatory developments related to Flavoring Science

You have:

 

  • Advanced internationally recognized university degree in toxicology, chemistry, biochemistry or food chemistry (preferably in combination with experience in the regulatory/toxicology environment)
  • 5 or more years of excellent industry experience including regulatory and product safety, Risk and Exposure Assessments
  • Broad background in natural science; preferably experience in the flavor or food industry and regulatory affairs
  • Teamplayer with interpersonal skills
  • Business Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Computer skills (MS Office and chemistry software)
  • Used to work independently and develop protocols and activity proposals
  • Used to work in a multicultural environment, preferably with a diverse approach
  • Willingness to travel internationally 10%
