The head of communications content is responsible for content produced by the UEFA communications division, running a team to service all corporate communications and media relations needs.

Head of Communications Content


- Managing the whole communications content production process: planning, commissioning, publishing/distribution and analysing the digital, media and printed output of UEFA's communications division;
- Creating and running a communications grid that is fed into by the whole organisation to ensure visibility on all internal and external events, allowing a full picture to be built of the communications team's priorities, resource allocation, issue identification and opportunities;
- Leading an editorial board that the other units in the communications division - namely, corporate communications, media relations and national association communications - feed into;
- Using the information gathered through the grid and editorial board to assess all content needs, identifying cross-promotional opportunities and synergies, helping to define and tailor all content types for the appropriate platforms;
- Distributing the content through earned and owned channels, to both internal and external audiences;
- Monitoring content performance along with the media Intelligence team, using analytics to produce reports for the senior management team in the communications division, and UEFA's business leadership;
- Working with communications stakeholder account managers to liaise with divisions across UEFA and help ascertain content requirements;
- Responsible for a team including: a project/content planner, a publications unit, copywriters/editors/speech writers, a graphics production resource and video commissioners;
- Establishing a particularly strong relationship with the digital editorial team responsible for competition-related content, identifying cross-promotional opportunities and ensuring a collaborative approach across content deliveries.


Experience required:
- 10+ years in content production and channel management working for a well-known organisation/brand, preferably in the sports/entertainment or media industry
- 7+ years managing a content production team, preferably with an English and multilingual output
- Deep knowledge of a variety of communication content types including: website articles, blogs, photography, graphics, video and traditional publications
- Extensive background in stakeholder management: proven track record in working with, advising and influencing senior leadership at high-profile organisations

- Journalism, communications or other relevant degree

- English / Proficient
