Job Description:

Your mission:

Maximize value for the Ferring Group overall by providing efficient procurement solutions and deals through leveraging economies of scale, optimizing demand, optimizing processes and capturing supplier's innovation.

Main categories in scope: IT software and Services.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure engagement & management of relationship with stakeholders, improve the procurement coverage in areas of responsibility
  • Gather demand and spend information within supported Divisions to identify areas of savings and improvement
  • Develop IT procurement (sub)category strategy to understand how to approach the market to address business requests from supported Divisions
  • Ensure the operationalisation of the global category strategy at the local level
  • Improve procurement coverage in IT at global and local level. Ensure the coverage of global contracts where appropriate and monitor contract implementation progress and/or deviation for further improvement
  • Work with countries not leveraging global contracts to identify the right solution to them
  • Develop and maintain a culture of performance in the procurement function in own area of responsibility, resulting in continuous improvement of costs and customer service level
  • In-depth knowledge of IT spend category with good understanding of the supplier market for software and Services, including ERP
  • Lead major sourcing projects in responsible area, in accordance with Ferring sourcing process from Rfx , negotiation to contracting
  • Work closely with IT VMO for activities related to supplier performance management and supplier relationship management after the contract is finalized.
  • Continuously review the existing supplier base and consider changes to accommodate new needs or to address suppliers performance issues
  • Analyse risks and set-up risk mitigation plan
  • Identify and leverage the most appropriate buying channel, such as e-catalogues
  • Track and report cost savings, cost avoidance and other category related KPIs in responsible category

Required Experience & Competences:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in procurement/ supply chain / business admin/IT/Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years' experiences in procurement, and minimum 5 years in a global category management position for IS/IT
  • Comprehensive understanding of purchasing process with knowledge of best practices for sourcing, supplier management and procure-to-pay
  • Ability to represent Ferring's interests to outside professionals and suppliers
  • Excellence in demand analysis, supplier analysis which leads to establish procurement category strategy in responsible category at global level
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement and management skills. Excellent influencing skills with the ability to interact and influence top level managers and stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a complex and matrix organization
  • Experience of project management in a complex (multi-cultural / multi-functional) scope
  • Experience of sourcing and procuring an ERP solution would be a plus
