Junior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a

You will be responsible for managing our data centers in Lausanne and Geneva and ensuring our Linux systems and network run smoothly and securely.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of IT infrastructure (Lausanne and Geneva data centers and Nyon office)
• Management of Linux-based servers as well as network equipment
• Handling the day-to-day operations, install software and troubleshoot alerts
• Assist client support and development teams in troubleshooting day-to-day problems
• Analyze daily logs and notifications - provide corrective action as is required
• Follow IT best practice and security advisories/bulletins (CVEs)

Core skills

• Virtualization and/or Container technologies (KVM/libvirt, Kubernetes/Docker)
• Good knowledge UNIX tools (grep, sed, awk, sort, uniq, screen, rsync, etc.)
• Bash, Python or Perl scripting to automate day to day administrative tasks
• Extensive understanding of networking concepts (Router, Switch, Firewall, IDS, VPN, VLANs)
• Manage internet domains, name servers and DNS entries (Bind or PowerDNS)
• Configuration management tools (Ansible)
• Installation and configuration of PHP Web Application servers like Apache and Nginx

Desirable skills

• Good understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, SSH, DNS, SMTP, SFTP)
• Storage and file systems configuration (RAID, LVM, EXT4, XFS, NFS)
• Database administration (DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB)
• IP PBX / VoIP Phone System Management (Asterisk-based)
• Monitoring of services and server’s performance (Nagios)
• Management of SSL certificates, PGP SSH keys, passwords, access policies and user management
