Process Engineer - packaging, printing, materials or Engineering

Tasks :

  • Support innovation projects and the development of concepts for product and process enhancements/technical alternatives in a packaging prototyping environment
  • Analyze product specifications to determine optimal processes and equipment settings for production lines
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans to ensure that packaging exceeds published packaging standards and customer specifications
  • Lead installation, qualification and validation phases of manufacturing processes
  • Lead the review/update of the manufacturing process characterization and related documents, define and maintain manufacturing specification. As Domain Expert initiate Process Change Request (PCR) according to local Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Create/review procedures, work instructions and other required Quality or Production documents. Provide coaching, and training on these procedures and work instructions when meaningful
  • Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes and provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions

  • Master University degree in packaging, printing, materials or Engineering
  • Experience in printing & converting, packaging development and/or quality
  • Knowledge and understanding of packaging design validation standards, labeling standards, and specification standards is critical
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality compliance (equipment qualification and process validation), process improvement and quality improvement concepts
  • Extensive knowledge of packaging technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as organizational Agility and feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Customer oriented and enjoying finding solutions to problems
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and a team player comfortable dealing with various external & internal partners, including management team
  • Proactive, strong problem solving coupled with a good sense of leadership
  • Robust skills in project management and continuous improvement
  • Experience on root cause analysis, and advanced knowledge of Corrective Action / Preventive Action and Improvement Action process
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Fluent in English and French.
