European Respiratory Society is an international organisation that brings together physicians, healthcare professionals, scientists and other experts working in respiratory medicine. We are one of the leading medical organisations in the respiratory field, with a growing membership representing over 140 countries worldwide.

You will act as a Scientific Administrative Assistant by providing a high-level and proactive organizational and administrative support to the team of Scientific Activities. You will report to the Head of Scientific Activities but will work in close collaboration with the Scientific Activities team.

Your role

- Assist the Scientific Activities Coordinators in various activities and projects

  • Collaborate to application, selection and follow up processes for various funding programmes
  • Contribute to project deliverables
  • Maintain related data and files
  • Update webpages
  • Monitor incoming emails in various e-mail boxes and ensure adequate follow up
  • Provide logistic support for meetings organisation
  • Schedule meetings and teleconferences and send invitations
  • Draft agendas and compile working documents
  • Write minutes and ensure follow-up actions
  • Provide constant updates and status on all activities
  • Assist the Director of Scientific Activities when requested

Your profile

  • Experience in handling administrative tasks, ideally in an international environment
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft programme (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Willing to learn, proactive, team player, independent, flexible
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skill
  • Swiss nationality or valid working permit

Type of contract: Temporary 100% Availability to travel: able to travel at least one week yearly to ERS International Congress
