The Quality Control Planner/Scheduler position assists laboratory management with the coordination of resources and assignment of activities within the Quality Control Laboratory. The scope includes routine testing (packaging materials, raw materials, drug products (bulk), stability samples), analyst training, maintenance activities, as well as non-routine activities. The Planner/Scheduler is primarily responsible for coordinating, developing, and managing QC schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and to achieve routine and non-routine testing objectives. In addition, the Planner/Scheduler develops tracking tools and metrics to monitor adherence to schedule and to lead times, provides utilization metrics, escalates resource constraints and priority conflicts. The planner/scheduler also supports QC Management in mid- to long term resource capacity planning by developing and updating workload forecasts and supports strategic proposals. In this role, you will be responsible for: Acting as single point of contact for other departments for all matters related to testing schedule: ?Participate in planning meetings with Warehouse, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to review testing workload and align disposition of incoming and product samples to the production schedule. Schedules retesting of API as required. ? Coordinate with Project Management Office to ensure Project related activities (e.g. new product introductions) are reflected in capacity forecasts and testing schedules. ? Coordinate with Facilities, Validation and other departments, as required, to ensure other and capacity (routine and non-routine) Developing and managing the detailed scheduling of testing activities for the Packaging and Analytical Chemistry testing teams: ? Follow up daily on testing execution versus schedule and lead times with QC Management and Testing Teams. ? Perform daily adjustments to testing schedule as required. ? Propose and implements improvements to scheduling process to increase efficiency and productivity. Developing and managing KPIs and visual management tools to monitor and improve daily performance of the laboratory: ? Monitor causes of non-adherence to schedule, overdue assignments and lost-time. Support QC Management in identifying barriers to operations and defining remediation actions. ? Develop, compiles and presents Key Performance Indicators requested by Laboratory Management. ? Propose and implements improvement actions. Supporting QC Management in mid- to long-term resource capacity planning: ? Update mid-term workload and capacity forecasts on a monthly basis. ? Support QC Management in anticipating mid- to long-term capacity needs and constraints (personnel, equipment and lab space). Supports strategic proposals. You have Federal Certificate of Capacity as Laboratory Technician or similar At least 3 years of work experience in a GMP environment A first Experience in laboratory bench work in a GMP environment strongly desired A first experience scheduling testing in a GMP environment is a plus Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification is preferred Good knowledge of Lean principles, 5S, visual management.
