Finance and IT Officer

For one of our partners, a dynamic an international association very involved in the sport sector closed to Geneva, we are currently looking for a:


Finance and IT Officer (80% finance and 20% IT)

This amazing opportunity is a new permanent role in line with the company’s development. The future candidate will report directly to the CFO. The role covers a wide scope. In addition to a generalist accountant role, the Finance and IT Officer will be supporting the Head of Finance in building a new financial infrastructure and implementing new tools to improve efficiency while maintaining the current standards and deliverables.

  

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The position will further develop the company’s finance and accounting capabilities by supporting the Head of Finance in building a new financial infrastructure

  • In addition, the Finance and IT Officer will be responsible to:
    • Support the Finance Information System transformation and implementation
    • Make recommendations on how to improve processes and workflows efficiency
    • Manage AP and AR cycle: ensure items are processed and controlled in an accurate and timely manner
    • Ensure that all bookings are aligned with company policies and procedures
    • Manage the expense report cycle of the company
    • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to solve any issues in an efficient and effective manner
    • Reconcile and ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
    • Support monthly and yearly closings, yearly budget process and annual external audit process, based on local requirements
    • Various and ad hoc reporting

•       From an IT perspective, the Finance and IT Officer will be:

    • The first line for support for company Staff
    • The main internal contact for IT supplies orders (materials, phones, etc.) and IT equipment basic maintenance
    • Proposing and monitoring IT solutions on the market

 

PROFILE:

    • Degree in accounting or finance
    • At least 3 years accounting experience in all accounting areas (AP, AR, GL)
    • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • A service-oriented and client-focused attitude, with the desire of growing the business partnership model
    • Highly structured in thinking
    • Proactive and confident, enjoys liaising with people, within the finance team as well as other departments
    • Proven ability to work independently
    • Well organised and deadline oriented
    • Detail-oriented and committed to quality and compliance
    • Enthusiastic and able to take on responsibility
    • Passionate about Information Technology and excellent knowledge of Office 365; knowledge of MS Dynamics or equivalent is a plus
    • An affinity with sports
    • Language skills: fluent in English and French. Additional language skills would be advantageous
