Under the responsibility of the site EHS Manager, the EHS Specialist is involved in assisting with the implementation of site programs to promote safe, healthy and environmentally friendly working conditions with focus on risk assessments, unsafe behavior identification, corrective actions, and EHS culture improvement to drive continuous improvement at the site. He / She will support and contribute to the development and maintenance of the site EHS Management System and the site regulatory compliance. Position based in Boudry Duties and Responsibilities Drive the completion and continuous improvement of the risk assessment process with departments Ensure compliance with the BMS EHS Management System, participate BMS standards gap assessment Participate in the site certification in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Facilitate or conduct the analysis of incidents, including first aid and near misses, and the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions Effectively provide and/or coordinate education/training at the facility necessary to recognize, evaluate and control workplace EHS hazards Develops, implements, maintains, and facilitates training programs in relation to environmental health and safety. Perform department EHS audits, define follow up actions and monitor the program. Participate and support emergency response teams. Maintain expertise on current EHS issues through ongoing literature and attendance at relevant seminars and meetings. Support the EHS manager for all site EHS activities and programs where needed. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High School diploma or technical background, preferably in Environmental Health & Safety or equivalent experience and education Minimum of five 5 years in EHS management with relevant industry experience Chargé de Sécurité or ST/PS specialist or equivalent (already certified or willing to) Good knowledge of Swiss legal requirements and local Ordinances Experience in Emergency Response, waste and wastewater management Excellent interpersonal skills, highly effective written and verbal communication skills, problem solving and decision-making abilities. Autonomous, with ability to work independently High comfort level in using MS Office suite, SharePoint Must have high analytical aptitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Willing to develop EHS relations and best practices within /outside the company Fluent in French and English Around the world, we are passionate about making an impact on the lives of patients with serious diseases.
