Industrial and Automation Engineer 100% - Fribourg

We are starting our journey toward manufacturing 4.0 in our Vifor facility in Fribourg. We are looking for a skilled and entrepreneur engineer that will shape our digital future. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a greenfield project that will transform our operating model. 

You will be part of the Production Technical Support within the Manufacturing organization. Your main responsibility will be to lead a project that will connect our heterogeneous park of lab and manufacturing equipment to a secure network.  

Acting as both a project manager and a hands-on engineer, you will:

  • Coordinate and synchronize the Core Services & Infrastructure implementation
  • Participate to operations & the support as well as be part of the Lifecycle Management of the Services, Infrastructure and Equipment
  • Create and maintain an inventory of all production and laboratory equipment prone to be connected to the Vifor Secure Network
  • Define how those equipment will be connected and what data will be extracted
  • Supervise the actual implementation of the connection of the various equipment
  • Put in place and manage a manufacturing data quality repository
  • Ensure compliance to Data integrity standards are respected

For this challenge, we are searching for a dynamic, rigorous and social person bringing the following profile:

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or related field required
  • Ideally 5 years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing support role
  • Previous experience in hardware machine to machine interfaces
  • Knowledge in industrial communication systems (LAN systems, Profibus, Profinet or Can bus)
  • OPC  or OPC - Unified Architecture knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of the IT networking basics. CCNA certification would be an advantage
  • Familiarity with the IT security concepts (such as, but not limited to : lifecycle management, patch management)
  • Experience in Computer System Validation, ideally in a pharma industry context
  • Proven experience in project management, PMP or Prince2 certification a plus
  • Ability to develop and provide trainings 
  • Ability to manage meetings and stakeholders
  • Strong work ethics
  • Fluent in French and good knowledge of English

You are an excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing you to interact with all kind of stakeholders in a multidisciplinary environment.
