Senior Credit Relationship Officer

YOUR MISSION: Lombard Odier is seeking to appoint a Senior Credit Relationship Officer, reporting to the Head of Credit Solutions. This individual will have all-round daily credit service and support responsibilities but will also take a role in design and implementation of various commercial initiatives. The key priorities will be: Demonstrate detailed technical knowledge of securities-based credit solutions within a Private Banking context based on jurisdiction, client suitability and market opportunities ; Manage the daily business of credit requests, their assessment versus group risk appetite, their approval, booking, documentation and management ; Work closely with private bankers across the various European, Asian and Swiss platforms to develop a more proactive approach to engaging clients in a Financing and Credit discussion ; Be client facing, support bankers in client meetings, spending the appropriate time needed to develop a thorough understanding of the client needs and present with the banker the optimal solution(s) ; Collaborate with all the stakeholders with consensus-based approach to issue resolution. Understand and iterate the risk and reward of scenarios and be prepared to defend a position. DESIRED PROFILE: 7-10 years’ experience in private banking of which at least the last five in a Lombard Credit role ; A strong commercial approach combined with solid judgement and a focus on delivery - solution driven with the ability to view transactions from the client’s perspective; Deep experience with Lombard lending, a track record with private clients and the understanding and ability to introduce more sophisticated credit advice, including complex credit structuring; Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communications skills; Fluent English and French written & verbal. German, Spanish a plus; Energy and drive, proactive and commercially motivated; Flexible thinking, ability to deal with complex decision-making; Disciplined mind-set, respectful of a strong risk culture, regulatory and control environment; Resident in Switzerland.
