Position:
Joining a small but busy team, working closely with all areas of the Business, this full-time role's primary responsibilities will include: 
 
  • First person of contact for corporate counsel tasks (data privacy, real estate, corporate commercial, IP etc)
  • Reviewing and drafting legal documents such as contracts, policies, and agreements
  • Supporting the legal and compliance function
  • Monitoring and analysing of relevant regulatory developments and setting up implementation concepts
  • Responsible for the Internal Control System and eventually support the risk management function
  • Participation in various projects (new products, new cross border markets, requests from Board of Directors)
  • Identifying legal business trends and risks and creating appropriate strategies to advance the company goals (policies, procedures, agreements, disclaimers)
  • Organization and execution of legal and compliance trainings for employees
  • Preparation and follow up of internal and external audits
Profile:
  • Fluent German, as well as French and English  (all 3 languages at working level)
  • Master’s degree in law ideally from a Swiss University or equivalent education
  • Additional compliance related qualifications a strong asset (CAS, Fund Academy etc.)
  • 3 -5 years of experience in an asset management compliance or legal role, e.g., as in-house-counsel, compliance professional or as senior consultant in law or Big 4 company
  • Excellent knowledge of Swiss (CISA, FISA, FINIA) and European (AIFMD, MiFID II) fund regulations
  • Experience in other, finance related regulations like FATCA, automatic exchange of information cross border, GDPR
  • Literacy in Swiss and European AML standards 
  • FINMA and/or CSSF authorisations as Conducting Officer a strong asset
  • Team player with a strong ability to work independently
  • Adaptability and flexibility together with a strong sense for priorities and stress resistance
  • At ease in a small, entrepreuneurial structure with very high standards
  • Already in possession of or eligible for a Swiss work permit
